A fresh review on a new product. We’ll always give it to you straight. Here’s our fabulous
First Impressions
Grapes Wrath from Blizza enters the scene with solid name recognition and brand clout—but this batch came with some baggage. While the genetics and reputation suggest something flavourful and potent, this sample was notably dry, affecting both the experience and potential reception.
This product would land in our craft flower collection, but only if it’s rehydrated or arriving in better condition.
How It Hits
The effects were there, but muted. You’ll catch a light body buzz—nothing overwhelming, but enough to take the edge off. However, due to the dryness of the flower, much of the flavour, aroma, and smoke quality were compromised. If this was a one-off issue, the strain might still have potential—but consistency is everything, especially in this competitive category.
To truly compete, Grapes Wrath would need to hit shelves at a value price point (think Jonny Chronic Tropicana range) to justify the experience-to-cost ratio.
What Others Are Saying
Blizza has a strong lineup, but Grapes Wrath seems to be hit-or-miss depending on batch. Moisture control and post-harvest quality appear to play a big role in shaping the user experience.
Our Take
When this strain is fresh and properly stored, we imagine the terp potential is there. But if dry flower is the norm, it’ll struggle to stand out in our premium craft selection. It’s not a write-off—but it’s not rotation-worthy yet either.
Final Word
Grapes Wrath has promise, but it needs to deliver consistency if it’s going to compete. For now, there are stronger picks on the market unless this strain comes in fresh and well-priced. Keep an eye on future batches—we’ll revisit it if the quality improves.
